ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), one of the world’s largest providers of computer products, is introducing a new line of Wireless for HDMI products for the digital home, including accessory devices and embedded designs that dramatically simplify connections between home audio and video electronic components. With several similar products, flaunting in the market from other renowned manufacturers like AMIMON, Philips, and Tzero it seems it is going to be a tough fight for the product to grab a handful share in the market.
The one advantage that the product has is that it reduces installation and equipment costs for service providers. The product supports input videos provided from HDMI, component video, and analog audio etc. the work mechanism is very impressive as it uses Analog Devices’ JPEG2000 video compression ICs with royalty-free JPEG2000 standard and Analog Devices’ ADV202 JPEG2000 video codec for compression of video. The transmission speed of 480 megabits per second (Mbps) ensure to meet up the standards of high-definition video and IPTV.
