The week seems to quite hectic for LG as it is busy making announcements for the upcoming CES show that will begin next week. CES 2007 will also witness the LG’s 71-inch 1080p plasma HDTV that was out last year for a hefty price of $70,000 but the startling news is that LG has slashed down its price to meager $14,999.95. Well, they have taken off that 24-carat gold paint.
Moreover, LG will showcase many other smaller models for the upcoming show that are full HD capable. The 42-incher and 52-incher PC5D series features Clear Filter Pro technology, Extreme Contour Compensation to enhance color transitions, and LG Simple Link connectivity. The 50-incher and 60-incher PY3D series rocks three HDMI inputs and USB Media Host capability to playback music.
LG will also showcase its PB4D series including 42-inch, 50-inch, and 60-inch plasmas featuring ‘Time shifting technology’ and video recording capability at 480p externally. And yes, LG will display the 71-incher 71PY1M at its booth too. Well, LG seems to steal all the charm in the HDTV category at the CES 2007.
