One of the major problems with the LCD TVs is the not-so-good performance while displaying swift action scenes. JVC has now announced a breakthrough technology, the second generation of their Clear Motion Drive that will help the LCDs deliver sharper, clearer images for the fast action sequences. To achieve this, they have used a frame doubling driver that augments the refresh rate to 120Hz and motion interpolation. They have made an algorithm that will detect the pace of the movement in any sequence and will increase the frame rate accordingly. The LCD TV’s incorporating this novel technology will start hitting the shelves this fall. The three models, 47-inch LT-47X898, the 42-inch LT-42X898 and the 37-inch LT-37X898 will be made available at the launch.
