Claiming a superior secure digital high capacity (SDHC) card reader, Panasonic Canada pronounced the DMW-SDP1 by the end of October 2006 for the price of $149.99, which enables customers to sight digital pictures in 1080i high definition quality on big screen TVs.

All you have to do is plug the SDP1 to your HDTV using the supplied HD component cable, insert a SD or SDHC memory card into the slot and playback images with the remote. You may also obtain printouts by connecting the DMW-SDP1 to a PictBridge-corresponding printer through the built-in USB cable.

Equipped with Venus Engine III image processing LSI, the DMW-SDP1 also presents diversity of playback options, which includes three special transition effects, motion JPEG playback, normal VGA (640 x 480), wide aspect VGA (848 x 480) motion images, high definition motion image (1280 x 720, at 15 fps) that you may record with the new LUMIX model DMC-LX2 as well.
