Samsung has unveiled a 57″ LCD monitor manufactured specially for use as a computer monitor. This monitor that is reportedly targeting the medical market, is claimed to be the largest monitor in its class. It will not be suitable for use as a television monitor as it uses a different panel technology. The Samsung 57″ LCD display features a high resolution of 1920X1080 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Samsung has always been a forerunner in the industry when it comes to big screen LCDs. This monitor shows off features such as 600 candela per square meter brightness level, a response time of 8-millisecond and 75 percent color reproduction.
