The Sony launched their VW50 nicknamed ‘The Pearl’ at CEDIA and now the guys at The projector central have tested and completely reviewed the new projector.
It is a sub $5000 category 1080p projector with contrast ratio of 15000:1.
It’s small and good looking but there are certain factors or things which were found lacking.
Let’s start with the negatives and come to the positives.
The pictures are bright and color full but the projector gives a less sharpened image when compared to other 1080p present in the market. The images are a little soft. The other problem that the users can face is whether to have it ceiling mounted or to have it rear mounted. As it can affect the clarity and the over all experience of the image viewing.
The guys at projector central are recommending a ceiling mounted version.
One of the major positive that came out was the black level of the projector a area in which it has advantages over the other present in the market.
