Sharp has done a spectacular job by introducing the new 57-inch AQUOS LC-57D90U LCD HDTV but I think it failed to justify the hefty price tag of $16,000 around its neck. For your kind info, the so-called 1080p LCD doesn’t even allows 1080p over HDMI and even if compared with other LCD HDTVs, the LC-57D90U takes long 10 seconds to lock up to a 3:2 sequence. Except for its comparatively larger screen, it doesn’t boast anything that counts for the $16,000 tag.



On the other hand, I will give full points to its scaler, 4ms response time and impressive video deinterlacing. But, if you are going to buy the AQUOS LC-57D90U LCD HDTV, I won’t advice you to do so. The much better option is to buy two or three smaller sized LCDs for your different rooms.
