I whole-heartedly welcome the new technique patented by two engineers at Warner Brothers that could end the pointless virtual war between the Blu-ray and HD-DVD. Actually, they have found a solution by integrating the Blu-ray, HD-DVD and standard resolution DVD version of a movie on the same disc. The new model will feature the two high definition formats on the one side while the standard definition on the other side. But, I don’t think the new hybrid device would come cheap. Nevertheless, we can certainly hope for the end of the Blu-ray vs HD-DVD war.
